The scrambler rifle will have higher range than all of these guns except for the rail rifle (rail and scrambler will have the same optimal range, but rail will have higher effective range). Despite beating or matching these guns in range, the scrambler rifle only has a dot sight, why? Doesn't seem to fit IMO. Also, we're going to have 4 "racial ARs", each with their own variants, can't one gun have the pre-chromosome camera-sights? I know I'm not the only one that misses them. I propose that gun should be the scrambler rifle; it needs a better sight anyway. Should only be for the base variant, the assault variant should keep the dot sight. Range info here Camera sight here: should look more gold and ornate since scrambler rifles are Amarr.

Yes some AR variants have scopes, but I was talking about the base variant. Obviously we don't have weapon customization, and we won't have any for probably a very long time, so I would rather not homogenize things, at least not now. I would rather have all AR-style weapons have their own unique balancing measures instead of needlessly forcing overheat on them. The completely different fire modes is intentional on CCP's part. I will explain the design to you. Each rifle has their own unique firing mode based on their unique racial style. On top of that, they try to make variants to mimic each other's rifles, like the assault combat rifle is an attempt by the Minmatar to copy the AR and put their own flavor on it, and likewise the burst AR is an attempt by the Gallente to copy the CR and put their own flavor on it (hopefully AR variants will be rebalanced, because they suck right now). The base rail rifle is a "breach", slow firing automatic. Also gets an assault variant to mimic assault rifle. So rail rifle is missing tactical, and burst. They will come in the future. The base combat rifle is an "burst", fires in 3 round bursts. Also gets an assault variant to mimic assault rifle. So rail rifle is missing tactical, and breach. They will come in the future. The base scrambler rifle is a "tactical", fires single fire long range. Also gets an assault variant to mimic assault rifle. So rail rifle is missing burst, and breach. They will come in the future. The base assault rifle is a "assault", fires in fast automatic fire. Also gets a breach variant to mimic rail rifle. Also gets a burst variant to mimic combat rifle. Also gets a tactical variant to mimic scramber rifle. I find the idea of each race having different type of base variants pretty fun and interesting, and makes them feel much more unique than giving each race basically an automatic AR variant with the same scope.
